As a first generation Dominican-American, Jonathan has always taken pride in his parent’s ancestry and making his family proud with the opportunity they gave him to be in this country. Jonathan has graduated from Michigan State University with a degree in Business Management and is looking to combine that with his recent graduation from Maharishi International University in Regenerative Agriculture and Sustainable Living. This has pushed Jonathan to seek ways to be there for farmers with the understanding that they have a place in the community that cannot be overlooked. Being of service to the communities of Iowa and collaborating with local leaders in the SE Iowa food system is what it’s all about. Jonathan is excited about the possibilities that we can all make together with getting more access to local/regional food.
